kettle corn success

Doing the grocery shopping by myself last week I had a little more freedom to buy a few special things. One was a bag of popcorn kernels coz it's the cheaper way. But knowing the kernals were there made me reflect on USA times past and sitting in SuhRa's room watching movies and eating kettle corn. I thought, "Surely it can't be that hard to make. I bet I've got the ingredients I need already." So I did a little research today and found a recipe and gave it a shot. Mmmm delicious success. After popping a batch of popcorn I put 2 tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of oil and 2/3 a cup of brown sugar into the saucepan and let it boil away for a few minutes. Ok, that was the recipe but I cook freestyle...approximate guessing. Then I salted my popcorn and poured the caramel over mixing it through. It ends up a bit sticky so I spread it on a tray and baked for a few minutes to dry it a bit. Now it's tasty tasty, non-sticky and vanishing before my eyes. MMMmmm!

Hey, I tried the recipe I told you about. It's great! took 5 min, is the perfect amount of salty and sweet and only one, not sticky step. You should give it a go. xxoo
